Behind the Booth: How our Photo Booth helped celebrate inclusion at Fernhill Health Center

For the Fernhill Health Center reopening, we worked with the Multnomah County Health Department to build something that felt like it was part of the space. Our job was to create a photo booth experience that reflected the community and the care that went into making Fernhill what it is. Here is how we did it:

The Photo Booth screens

We designed custom screens using Multnomah County’s brand colors and graphic elements that represented connection, diversity, and wellness. Every part of the booth, from the welcome screen to the final “thank you” was built to feel aligned with the tone of the event: open, celebratory, and community-first.

The prints included something special too: an illustration of the mural painted on the front of the clinic. That mural is one of the first things you notice when you walk by, and we wanted guests to leave with a piece of it in hand

With so much happening during the event: music, activities, and tours, the photo booth offered a natural way for people to take a breath, engage with the space, and share in the celebration. Additionally, it supported the event’s larger goals around visibility and inclusion.

The Photo Booth captures

We saw clinic staff, county leadership, families, elders, and kids step in front of the camera. Some took solo portraits. Others gathered in groups. But every photo told the same story: people proud to be part of something that serves their community.
