How we brought Oregon Food Bank’s mission into every Photo Booth screen

When Oregon Food Bank held Bloom at The Redd on Salmon, the room buzzed with energy — bold colors, heartfelt stories, and a clear message about food justice and community strength. It was a night where every detail mattered, and the photo booth was no exception.

Photo Booth setup at Portland gala at the Redd East Event Space

Spoiler alert: it immersed guests into the mission, setting the tone before the first speech and deepening their connection throughout the evening. We achieved this by crafting every screen to reflect Oregon Food Bank’s spirit, from the greens and oranges of their brand to real images of volunteers and fresh produce that tell a story of impact and hope.

This blog takes you behind the screens: what we designed, how we aligned it with the event theme, and why thoughtful screen design matters when it comes to creating moments that feel aligned with your mission. Whether you're planning a nonprofit fundraiser or a cultural celebration, here’s how a well-crafted photo booth setup can make your event shine.

Photo Booth screens we designed for Bloom

We started by building the interface around Oregon Food Bank’s brand palette: grounded greens, soft greys, and vibrant orange accents that echoed the evening’s decor.

To deepen the connection to the cause, we included photos representing Oregon Food Bank’s mission throughout the interface, images of the community, volunteers in action, and fresh produce symbolizing abundance and access.

We won’t bore you with the details (just kidding—we totally will below). But first, take a peek at some of photo booth screens:

The role of Photo Booth screens in guest experience

Photo booth screens might seem like a small detail, but they shape the entire guest experience. With our custom photo booth setup, guests engage with around ten unique screens. At nonprofit events like Bloom, that’s ten chances to connect, remind, and inspire—before anyone even hears the opening speech.

Each screen sets the tone. From the welcome message to the final share, the interface reflects your values, your story, and your purpose. That’s why at Alegría Photo Booth, we don’t stop at a single branded screen. We design the full experience to align with your mission and event style.

For Oregon Food Bank, that meant using their colors, community imagery, and brand tone across every screen. The result? A seamless experience that pulled guests into the cause—from the first tap to the final photo.
